- Why isn't my ceremony certificate enough?
- The decorative certificate signed on the day is not accepted for name changes. You need the official (standard) marriage certificate from your state's Births, Deaths and Marriages registry — the kit's step 1 tells you exactly where to order it for your state.
- Is my passport replacement free?
- Sometimes. If your current passport was issued less than 12 months ago and has more than two years' validity remaining, you may qualify for a free replacement in your married name. Otherwise it's a new application at standard fees. The kit flags which case you're in.
- What's the right order?
- Official certificate first (everything depends on it), then your driver licence — it becomes your everyday photo ID — then Medicare, ATO, passport, the electoral roll, and finally banks and employer. That sequence is the kit.
- Do you need my TFN or Medicare number?
- Never. The kit is built so government ID numbers are added with a pen after printing. We can't leak what we never receive.
